Imarisha Sacco Society Limited last year disbursed a total
of over Kshs. 6 billion in loans to
its members.
Out of the amount, Kshs
248 million was awarded towards SMEs beneficiaries to boost members who
have ventured into businesses.
The Sacco
Chairman Mr. Mathew Ruto who made the remarks during members’ education day
held at Mogogosiek Township over the weekend, he added that the Sacco was
financially stable and to date has no pending loans due to members.

Ruto said the move was in line with society's strategy to
meet the dynamic customer needs in the competitive financial environment.

He at the same time announced that the society has increased
its health product called Pongea social welfare cover from Kshs.1M to 1.2M and an
additional Kshs.500, 000 for cancer
cases to Kshs.1.5 M
He decried that families were spending a lot of money on
health-related complications and that the Sacco has taken health care among
members a priority.
Imarisha Sacco which is ranked number at position 9 out of
137 deposit taking Saccos in Kenya with a member base of over 76, 000 and an
active membership in the diaspora. It is currently operating in 8
branches and marketing outlets.
