Imarisha Sacco Opens New Investment Opportunities.

 Imarisha Sacco's strategic plan to expand and reach more members in the North Rift will avail new business and investment opportunities to the area residents.

The Sacco last month launched Eldoret branch to reach the vast agricultural and business groups with new products and services that suit member needs.

Eldoret branch established as a marketing outlet three years ago and has since grown to a branch that caters for the members and potential customers of North Rift.

 With the newly launched branch members can access affordable loan products and services to enable them to achieve financial independence.

The branch is seen as a window of opportunities for economic and agricultural growth. Members who are strong believers in the cooperative movement can now dream of achieving their long term investment goals.

SMEs In the entire North Rift region can now to join the Sacco and benefit from the affordable product and services that include Soko loan, Soko Poa products among others.

The larger agricultural segment will also get access to Kilimo loan and Kilimo advance to expand their agricultural production for their benefit.

Contractors who are mainly the youth and the self-employed can benefit from the new contractor loans to improve their services.

He also lauded the Sacco's bold move in opening a new branch in Eldoret and that he would ensure that he works with the SACCO for the common benefit of the common man.

Imarisha Sacco journey that started 41 years ago with a handful of members now stand as towering financial figure in the Kenyan cooperative movement.

With a strong asset base of over Ksh.12.1 billion and a membership of over 83,000, the Sacco now tops financial institutions that contribute to the livelihoods of many of our members and the national economy.

Our journey to attain the ninth branch is a positive milestone in our strategic plan. The new branch that opens its doors to members today has modern facilities that provide affordable products and services that meet customer needs.

As we seek to recruit new members from North Rift we already have an existing good number of memberships drawn from the following counties: Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Baringo, Trans Nzoia, Elgeyo Marakwet and Turkana.

IMARISHA SACCO TARGETS HEALTH CARE FOR MEMBERS

Individual contributors to Imarisha Sacco Society Limited can now place a standing order for monthly deduction towards NHIF scheme.

The Sacco Chairman Mathew Ruto says the society has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NHIF to facilitate the monthly contribution through FOSA.

“Besides our support to one of agenda four of universal health care, our objective is to ensure our members meet medical care in line with our customer-focused service delivery “said the Chairman. 

 Ruto who was speaking during member’s education day in Rift Valley Technical Training, Eldoret also disclosed that the society has increased funds payable to cancer patients from Ksh.1.2 million to 1.5 million.

He said the facility has come as a big relief to cancer patients even as he called on members to consider frequent medical check ups to mitigate the devastating impact of the killer disease.

At the same time, Ruto  added that the Sacco  family consolation kitty in case of demise of a member has been increased to  Kshs. 100,000 an amount  meant to cover deceased’s outstanding loan balance write off ,  and  added that the Sacco has also doubled deceased’s deposits  paid to the member beneficiary.

The Chairman revealed that the society loans approvals to members was within time as the Sacco continues to record growth.

Imarisha managed to generate income amounting to kshs.713,044,303.00 in 2018 as compared to Kshs.559,257,856.00 in 2017 representing  27.5% in growth.

Ruto said the Sacco has laid out elaborate transformative initiatives to meet the ever changing customer needs.

“We recently undertook a customer satisfaction survey, and found out that 86% of the customers polled were satisfied with our products and services and that is why a further 91 % of members were willing to recommend others to the Sacco.’’ Said Ruto. 

He disclosed that the Sacco will expand its catchment areas in order to enroll more members who are willing to join the society whose membership has risen from 65000 in 2017 to 76000 in 2018.

The Sacco school fees loan product is  available to all, this  is one of the products offered to our members at  very low-interest rates. Our loan products  targets customers with entrepreneurial and investment skills to achieve.

Imarisha Sacco members benefit from Shs 6 billion loans

Imarisha Sacco Society Limited last year disbursed a total of over Kshs. 6 billion in loans to its members.

Out of the amount, Kshs 248 million was awarded towards SMEs beneficiaries to boost members who have ventured into businesses.

The Sacco Chairman Mr. Mathew Ruto who made the remarks during members’ education day held at Mogogosiek Township over the weekend, he added that the Sacco was financially stable and to date has no pending loans due to members.

In order to cater for the increasing needs among members striving to diversify their income through businesses, the Chairman pointed out that micro-credit department has developed new affordable products for the employed and the agricultural community.

Ruto said the move was in line with society's strategy to meet the dynamic customer needs in the competitive financial environment.

He at the same time announced that the society has increased its health product called Pongea social welfare cover from Kshs.1M to 1.2M and an additional Kshs.500, 000 for cancer cases to Kshs.1.5 M

He decried that families were spending a lot of money on health-related complications and that the Sacco has taken health care among members a priority. 

Imarisha Sacco which is ranked number at position 9 out of 137 deposit taking Saccos in Kenya with a member base of over 76, 000 and an active membership in the diaspora. It is currently operating in   8 branches and marketing outlets.
